Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about your code, security, agent compatibility, and how Ondago works.
Straight answers. No marketing fluff.
Your Code & Work
What exactly gets transferred when I move a session?
Ondago transfers your coding-agent conversation and captured project state, including work in progress. It can also carry supported elements of your agent's setup, such as project instructions, skills, tools, and configuration. Exactly what moves depends on the agent, destination, and capture settings.
Link to this answerWhat happens to my local session when I move it to the cloud?
Your local project files remain on your computer. Ondago creates a cloud continuation using the captured session and project state.
The cloud session can then run independently. If you continue editing locally, the two copies may diverge, and returning the cloud work may require resolving conflicts.
Link to this answerCan I lose work when moving a session?
Ondago is designed to preserve your session and work in progress during transfers, with status visibility and recovery options. However, conflicting changes and transfer failures can occur. We recommend keeping important work under version control and reviewing the results of a transfer.
Link to this answerWhat happens to my uncommitted changes?
Ondago can capture supported uncommitted changes as part of your session transfer, so you don't have to commit unfinished work just to continue elsewhere.
The exact files included may depend on your capture settings and applicable limits.
Link to this answerDo I need to commit or push my code before transferring a session?
No. Ondago is designed to move your working session, including supported uncommitted changes, without requiring you to create commits or push to a remote repository first.
Git remains your source-control system, while Ondago handles the live agent session and captured work context.
Link to this answerSecurity & Privacy
Can Ondago see my source code or conversations?
Saved session bundles are encrypted on your device before upload, and Ondago's storage service doesn't hold the keys needed to read them.
When you run an agent in Ondago Cloud, the execution environment must access the decrypted project files and session context to do its work.

Link to this answerAre my API keys or credentials sent to Ondago?
Ondago supports encrypted credential management and passes the credentials required for an authorized cloud execution to the corresponding runtime. Some integrations may require additional authentication or setup. You should review which credentials and connections are available before starting a cloud session.
Link to this answerDoes Ondago use my code or conversations to train AI models?
Ondago's encrypted session-storage architecture does not provide its storage service with readable session content for model training.
The AI model providers you use through Ondago may process prompts and code according to their own data policies and account settings.
Refer to Ondago's privacy policy and your selected model provider's terms for details.
Link to this answerWhere does my code actually run when I use Ondago Cloud?
Your coding agent runs in an isolated cloud execution environment, not on your laptop.
That environment receives the project files, context, and authorized credentials needed for the task.
You can interact with the running session from your phone or browser without executing the agent on those devices.
Link to this answerHow long does Ondago store my sessions and code?
Stored sessions remain available according to Ondago's retention and deletion policies.
Encrypted session bundles, temporary synchronized data, and active execution environments may have different lifecycles.
Deleting a stored session does not automatically delete corresponding files from your own computer.

What happens when I switch from Claude Code to Codex or another agent?
Ondago creates a continuation for the destination agent using your existing conversation, project state, and compatible configuration.
Because agents work differently, some information may need to be adapted or omitted. Ondago helps identify compatibility differences before the transfer.
Link to this answerWill the new agent understand everything the previous agent was doing?
Ondago preserves compatible conversation history, project state, and instructions to help the new agent continue without starting over.
However, different agents don't share identical internal reasoning state or capabilities, so some agent-specific information may not transfer.
Link to this answerWhat doesn't transfer between agents?
Some agent-specific runtime state, permissions, hooks, settings, and machine-dependent tools may not transfer directly.
Ondago preserves or adapts compatible information where possible and helps identify configuration differences.
Certain integrations or credentials may require separate setup.
Link to this answerWhich coding agents does Ondago support?
Ondago supports integrations with coding agents including Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Copilot CLI, and Antigravity CLI.
Available functionality can differ by agent. For example, session capture, cloud execution, live interaction, and cross-agent continuation may have different compatibility requirements.
Refer to the documentation for the latest supported agents and features.
Link to this answerWorkflow & Reliability
What happens if I keep editing locally while my agent works in the cloud?
Your local and cloud project copies may diverge after a transfer.
When you bring cloud work back locally, Ondago checks for changes that may conflict with your current working tree.
Depending on the situation, you may need to commit or stash local changes, use another destination, or review changes on a separate branch.
Ondago does not guarantee automatic merging of every conflict.
Link to this answerDoes Ondago work with my existing Git and GitHub workflow?
Yes. Ondago complements Git rather than replacing it.
Continue using Git and GitHub for source control, branches, pull requests, and team collaboration.
Ondago focuses on maintaining and moving your coding-agent session and work context across supported environments.
Link to this answerDo I need to change how I work with Claude Code, Codex, or OpenCode?
Not fundamentally.
You can continue using your supported coding agents and familiar development tools.
Ondago adds the ability to discover, manage, access, and move sessions through its supported integrations and interfaces.
Some features require initial setup, authentication, or an installed CLI integration.
Link to this answerWhat happens if a transfer fails or my internet connection drops?
Ondago provides transfer and connection status along with recovery and retry options for supported failure scenarios.
If you're transferring a session to the cloud, confirm that the cloud environment is ready before turning off your computer.
If connectivity is interrupted, check the session state before repeating commands, since an earlier request may already have been processed.

Can Ondago modify or delete files without my approval?
Ondago manages session capture, transfer, and continuation.
The coding agent operating within a session can execute commands and modify files according to its configured permissions.
Approval behavior depends on the agent, its settings, and the execution environment.
Ondago supports interacting with supported approval requests remotely, allowing you to stay involved when working away from your computer.
Link to this answerWhat happens if I stop using Ondago? Am I locked in?
Your source code, repositories, and development tools remain yours. You can keep working with your existing coding agents without Ondago.
Ondago supports returning session content and project changes to compatible local environments, though some session formats and portability features depend on Ondago integrations.
